True Story!!!
Yesterday I woke up and went in to use the bathroom and imagine my surprise when I found a water snake. The dang thing reared up and lunged at me.My son came in and saved the day. To see the video click on the 'water snake' link.
Yes, we live in the country but having a snake in our home is NOT an everyday event-Thank God!
My son keeps telling me "You have one behind you" HaHaHa- he thinks he's so funny. He laughs at me that I now keep looking on the floor and I check the toilet every time I go in the bathroom. After all, if it is a 'water snake (another video of it)' then it obviously was looking for water- right? The last thing I want is a surprise like that- to sit down on the toilet and have a snake bite my rear end.
We figured out how it got in and have blocked it off. We also figure it came in because we have been disturbing a bunch of snakes while cutting, moving and stacking a wood pile by our ditch which has water in it.

Btw, this is a Lake Erie Watersnake which is NOT poisonous. I believe that the reason why it lunged at me was because I startled it. It NEVER hissed or lunged at my son at any time.
